Exhibition File – The Total Look

The Total Look: The Creative Collaboration between Rudi Gernreich, Peggy Moffitt, and William Caxton is a multimedia exhibition currently on display at the Savannah College of Art and Design Museum of Art. I thought it was fitting to share this exhibition today following my post from Tuesday.

It celebrates the fashion designer Rudi Gernreich, his muse and model Peggy Moffitt, and photographer William Claxton. The three worked together throughout the 1960s and 1970s to create images that influenced fashion, pop culture, and minimal and performance art. “The exhibition features selected looks from Moffitt’s collection, with films and photographs by Claxton of Moffitt modeling [Gernreich’s] clothes.”

The Total Look runs until October 7.

I haven’t seen this one, but SCAD does a tremendous job with their exhibitions. It makes me really want to run down to Savannah!
